Do you only work with budget-restricted wedding couples?
No. Being frugal means: “economical in use or expenditure; prudently saving; not frivolous; not wasteful; not costly”. Nowhere does it say Frugal means cheap! So whether your budget is $5,000 or $50,000, my goal is to help you have the wedding of your dreams while not spending more than you feel comfortable with. Whatever your budget, I have the tools, experience and vendors to help you plan the best wedding in your price range!

Everything starts with an initial consultation which serves as an exploratory meeting where we get to learn about your needs and wants for your wedding. Meet The Team
Mimi is the owner and lead planner. She lives for all things weddings! During her downtime you will find her baking, crafting or perusing her favorite lifestyle blogs and magazines. She has acquired the endearing title of “The Latina Martha Stewart” from those that know her best. She is a self-proclaimed organizing junkie and can spend embarrassing amounts of time combing through The Container Store and Office Depot! She is a graduate of Howard University and UMUC. She has been helping family members and friends plan weddings and events for as long as she can remember. Finally in 2012 she took a leap of faith and started A Bride’s BFF based on a role she had played many times (being the bride’s best friend)! She currently live in Maryland with her daughter and long-time boyfriend (who will hopefully ahhhem…soon pop the question).

Diana has been in the hospitality industry for over 13 years. She is truly passionate about weddings and manages each event with a smile. She has planned, managed and executed many corporate events, social events and destination weddings. Her favorite wedding destination so far has been Aruba! During her downtime Diana enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, fitness, and taking her pug out for long works while enjoying an iced vanilla latte.
Carolyn has over 15 years of planning and coordinating experience. From weddings, birthday parties, baby showers and various other social occasions, not only is Carolyn detailed oriented, but she is also passionate about customer service and building relationships. Having natural interpersonal and communication abilities, Carolyn has built a solid foundation of trust and strategic partnerships with clients, venues and service providers. She is an excellent multi-tasker and is very organized. She works hard to ensure wonderful and stress-free events. Carolyn is also an ordained Minister, licensed in the state of Maryland. During her downtime, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, attending church and of course, Shopping!
Simply put…Kelly loves parties! Weddings, showers, birthday parties, reunions, you name it. If it involves people getting together to have a good time, she wants to be a part of it! In 2010 she began planning weddings after earning certificates in wedding planning and coordination at VCC. She’s worked with dozens of DIY brides to help bring their wedding visions to life. Her enthusiastic and down-to-earth nature puts couples at ease right from the start. Kelly lives in the Northern Virginia area with her husband and 4 daughters.
Sarah Acconcia is a versatile event planner and chef in Baltimore, MD. She has created and organized many public and private events at restaurants and private homes, including pop up events and events requiring complicated off-site logistics. Sarah has a bachelor of fine arts from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and her specialties include alternative weddings. Sarah has lived all over Europe, and in her spare time she enjoys to gardening and practicing yoga.
