Alejandra and Adam’s Rustic Christmas Wedding at The Barns at Wolf Trap was by far our favorite holiday wedding! Now, I’ll be totally honest. I didn’t always care for holiday weddings. They can be super expensive, hard to plan and very cliché. But after having done Alejandra and Adam’s wedding, it made me change my tune.
Well why would anyone want to plan a holiday wedding if they didn’t want the holiday theme to be that backdrop for their nuptials you might ask. Yes, touché. BUT, there are a lot of ways a Christmas theme can overpower a wedding. Remember, this is still supposed to look like a wedding at the end of the day, and not two people eloping in Santa’s Workshop.
What I learned is to watch out for Christmas knick-knacks when choosing centerpieces and decorations in general. Christmas clichés around the holidays are sneaky and just a little is more than enough! Going with more neutral Winter decor overall, can be more can be tasteful and elegant than flat out Christmas tree trimmings and the classic red and green color combo.
Needless to say, this couple nailed it! Their Rustic Christmas Wedding The Barns at Wolf Trap was romantic, elegant, as well as warm and fuzzy. Everything you’d want a holiday wedding to be! And the bride’s face in every photo says it all. Her joy was palpable as was the love and support of everyone around the happy couple.
