With 2020 right around the corner, some wedding trends are losing their appeal. Based on our experience, here are 5 Wedding Trends we see dwindling in the decade to come!
1. Matchy-Matchy Bridesmaids Dresses
Bridesmaids traditionally wore the same exact dress, but nowadays couples are opting for more creative bridesmaids dress combinations.
2. The Bouquet Toss and the Garter Toss
While the tossing of the bouquet and garter used to be a big hit at weddings, fewer couples are choosing to partake in this tradition.
3. Over the Top Wedding Cakes
We have been seeing more cupcakes, small cutting cakes and other custom dessert options replacing towering, 3+ layer cakes.
4. Candy Bars
Candy buffets were all the rage a few years ago but over time, the novelty factor wore off. These days couples are opting for more customized dessert buffet options or replacing the sweets smorgasbord with late-night snack options instead.
5. Sparkler Sendoffs
Sparkler exits may look romantic and effortless but they actually require a lot of coordination. And if not done properly they can be quite dangerous. More and more venues are prohibiting the use of sparklers on-site. Instead, couples are substituting with glow sticks, ribbon wands, or bubbles.
