Keshni and William’s fusion wedding at the Josephine Butler Parks Center was a diverse, cultural event, mixing American, African and Indian traditions. The fairy tale engagement took place at a restaurant on a visit to London–a total surprise to the bride! The couple describes themselves as easy going, adventurous, passionate and humorous with shared values but opposites in personality. Isn’t it so true that opposites attract!
When Keshni and William hired us, they were bogged down with the objective of having the ceremony start on time (anticipating that there would be some latecomers) as well as with the ceremony processional. They really needed some help with the wedding rehearsal procedure and a game plan for how to enter reception later on–as they were planning on doing a high-energy entrance to reception.
Also, due to their unique venue, which had to be flipped after ceremony for the reception, guests would be ushered downstairs for cocktail hour while the bride and groom took photos.
As Month-of Coordinators, we helped Keshni and William come up with a plan for all of their concerns which included wrangling guests through the different areas of the venue; coordinating with their DJ to ensure the timing of all of the special experiences they had planned throughout the evening; and figuring out the logistics of working in their venue space with its unique challenges. As a result, their wedding celebration was not only beautiful, but fun and organized! We had such a blast working with this couple and their blended cultural wedding.
