Alison and James’ wedding at The Mead Center at Arena Stage was a joyous and heartfelt event. Alison and James met on a rec softball team in DC through mutual friends (James’ friend from childhood was roommates with Alison’s coworker). James got Alison’s number after the first game, but they didn’t go on our first date until almost a month later.
This sweet couple engaged on their first night on vacation in Sante Fe. The day included a long drive from Denver to Santa Fe, a quick stop at Meow Wolf, then dinner downtown. They were across the street from the restaurant, Alison turned around and James was holding the ring box. They celebrated with an amazing dinner at Café Pascuals in Sante Fe, and going running the next morning.
The couple had moved to Boston before the wedding and therefore were planning remotely. Both the bride and groom have family in the DC area and came back to DC pretty regularly to squeeze in some wedding planning. Although having both families being local was helpful, it became imperative for Alison and James to hire a Wedding Coordinator to help with communication with all of our vendors, create the wedding day schedule and deal with all of the stuff they didn’t know much about.
We were so honored to have been Alison and James’ Day-of Wedding Coordinator! Their day turned out beautifully and the couple was so relaxed and happy!
