It’s October and Halloween Wedding Inspiration is all around us! Halloween doesn’t have to be all orange pumpkins and skulls. With October 31st falling on a Saturday this year, we expect to see lot’s of Halloween Weddings! So we felt inspired to give you our take on what we believe makes a good modern, stylish Halloween wedding.
On your big day, you want your decor and fashion to tastefully hint around the holiday, rather than feel like a theme party (unless you’re into that sort of thing) 😜. Here are some tips on how to pull that off:
Instead of pumpkin orange and black, modify it a bit. There are many colors in in that color family that are more refined. Burnt orange, bronze or copper. Then add a neutral earth tone such as wheat, almond or butter cream. If you want get fancy, you can add a soft blush or ro. And then finish it off with an accent color that packs a punch like dark wine, blackberry, or crimson.
For the ultimate in old world sophistication and romance, you cannot go wrong with candles. Fill every surface with candles; the more the merrier! Set the stage with sophisticated candelabras and antique candle holders for a mysterious old-mansion aesthetic that works really well at a Halloween-inspired wedding.
Certain types of venues naturally set the stage for an otherworldly wedding. An opulent ballroom can be the perfect setting for a masquerade ball. An old mansion is the perfect backdrop for imaginations to run wild. Or a woodsy setting for a spine-tingling touch.
