Sarah and Bill’s micro wedding at The Fathom Gallery in Washington DC is one we’ll always remember. It was our fist post-COVID wedding, and our first experience with this “new normal” way of hosting special events.
We reached out to Sarah in the late Spring of 2020 to get a fell for where she was with her wedding plans as most of our couples were already busy postponing and rescheduling Summer and Fall events. To our surprise, Sarah was game!
The couple decided to move forward with their wedding, but in a modified manner. They whittled down their 80-person guest list to only about 25 immediate family members and bridal party. But that was just the beginning of the changes to come! DC had just started to move into stage 2 of reopening beginning the before Sarah and Bill’s wedding! And venues and vendors were still working out the kinks in how to proceed.
Due to several factors at play, the couple ended up changing their ceremony and reception location, the caterer and the date at last-minute with no time to spare! The couple, the venues, the vendor team and our team at A Bride’s BFF–all remained flexible and we rolled with the punches to pull off an amazing wedding that we can’t wait to share with you!
Sarah and Bill were thrilled at how great everything turned out–despite all the turmoil leading up to it. You can read her testimonial below:
“Absolutely would recommend their 30-day out/day of services. From the first phone call Mimi put my mind at ease that all details would be taken care of, and when Nageen stepped in 30 days I couldn’t have felt more thankful for their services. We had to replan our wedding entirely due to COVID with a new date, new vendors and venue, and Nageen helped us roll with the punches and get a game plan together for the big day. Especially in the week before the wedding, knowing that she was confirming every detail with our vendors was a huge relief and allowed me to enjoy time with family in town. She attended the rehearsal and took care of all the cues for walking, music, etc. The day-of she made sure everything was set before guests arrived and checked in throughout the evening to make sure we were ready for the next thing. I had some anxious nerves during dinner and she couldn’t have made me feel more at ease and helped us Seamlessly rearrange the dances/toasts in the timeline so I could take a breather outside. At the end of the night she helped package up all our vases of flowers from the tables and made sure everything was set with the vendors so we didn’t have to go back for anything the next day. Everything was better than I could have expected and I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful for her work!”
Congrats, Sarah and Bill! We’re so happy everything turned out perfect for the two of you! You deserved it!
